Experience That Endures: Macedonian Miners’ Day Recognition for Long-Serving Bucim Miner Ljube Kolev

August 26, 2026

As part of this year’s Macedonian Miners’ Day celebrations, long-serving Bucim employee Ljube Kolev received a certificate of appreciation at the official ceremony organized by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources. The recognition comes in the year when Ljube is bringing his professional career to a close and retiring after decades of work at Bucim.

Ljube built his career working with heavy machinery, in a profession where experience, attention, and responsibility have a direct impact on the quality and safety of everyday operations. Over the years, he witnessed and took part in changes in technology, machinery, and work organization, while also belonging to a generation of employees who passed on practical knowledge and professional standards to the colleagues who followed.

For Ljube, the measure of a job well done has always been simple and concrete: the work should be completed properly, the machinery should be left in good working order for the next shift, and every employee should return home safely. This approach to work reflects the value of experience built over many years, as well as the responsibility that every individual in mining has towards their colleagues and their profession.

The recognition, presented to him by Minister Sanja Bozhinovska on the occasion of Macedonian Miners’ Day, acknowledges his many years of dedicated work and professional contribution. At the same time, it is a reminder that the continuity of an industry depends on the people who build it every day through their knowledge, discipline, and responsibility.

Bucim congratulates Ljube Kolev on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for the years he has dedicated to the company, his colleagues, and the profession. His experience and approach to work remain part of the knowledge that continues to be passed on to the generations that follow.
