Bucim and Borov Dol, as part of their commitment to sustainable development, joined the ecological initiative “Generalka Weekend,” supporting the reforestation project named “SONCHEVA GORA.”
The Deputy Manager of Bucim and Borov Dol, Ivica Karapetrov stated: “From the very beginning, we recognized the importance of ‘Generalka Weekend’ as an initiative that unites communities to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future. We are proud, as companies, to be part of this story and, together with partners and volunteers, demonstrate that collective efforts can bring about positive changes to our environment. Our participation is yet another testament to our dedication to nature conservation and raising ecological awareness.”
“Generalka Weekend” is the largest ecological action in the country, organized by “Men and Mountain,” with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and strategic partners from the business community.
Today’s event, which included the reforestation of “SONCHEVA GORA,” saw the participation of over 150 volunteers, including teams from Bucim and Borov Dol. Through their example, they highlighted the importance of teamwork and collective engagement in creating a green future.
With such initiatives, in just four years, over 125,000 trees have been planted, and 915,000 kilograms of waste collected, showcasing the power of shared responsibility and commitment to nature.
