Radovish, February 11, 2025 – After several months of negotiations, the Bucim and Borov Dol mines have signed a Collective Agreement to enhance the rights and position of employees, marking a significant step in protecting and advancing workers’ rights.

This agreement, signed between Bucim and Borov Dol mines and the Trade Union of Industry, Energy, and Mining of Macedonia (SIER) within the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM), represents a historic milestone, especially for Bucim Mine. The General Manager of Bucim and Borov Dol Mines, Alexander Rakov, stated:
“The new management has made tremendous efforts to achieve something that was previously unattainable for Bucim Mine. This is a crucial moment for all employees because, with this agreement, we ensure better working conditions and additional rights that will enhance the security and stability of each of our employees.”

The Deputy General Manager of Bucim and Borov Dol, Ivica Karapetrov, added:
“Our goal is to build a sustainable and fair relationship with all our employees. Signing this agreement is a confirmation of our commitment to improving workers’ rights and creating a stable and safe working environment.”
