We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the “SONCHEVA GORA” reforestation initiative, held on November 29, 2024, in Radovish. This project was carried out in partnership with Man and Mountain and the Municipality of Radovish and marks a significant step toward our shared vision of creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
Key Highlights of the Initiative:
- Number of Trees Planted: 300 saplings of maple (Acer pseudoplatanoides) and linden (Tilia cordata), donated by Buchim and Borov Dol.
- Planting Locations: Parks and public areas across Radovish, as well as children’s parks in nearby villages: Kalugerica, Suldurci, Voislavci, Injovo, Oraovica, Podares, Pokraichevo, and Zleovo.
- Participants: Over 50 volunteers, including representatives from Man and Mountain, students from local schools, community members, and employees of the Bucim and Borov Dol mines.
- Key Location: “SONCHEVA GORA” – a symbolic area along the “8th of September” quay, where 100 trees were planted by Buchim and Borov Dol employees as part of their commitment to urban regeneration.
“SONCHEVA GORA” not only promotes tree planting but also emphasizes the importance of shared responsibility for nature and the community. This initiative is part of the ESG strategy of Bucim and the Borov Dol Mine. By increasing green areas in Radovish and the surrounding villages, we aim to enhance air quality, protect biodiversity, and create pleasant public spaces for our citizens.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Man and Mountain and the Municipality of Radovish for their enthusiasm, dedication, and collaboration. Special thanks also go to all the volunteers who participated in this initiative.
Together, we plant the future!
