Participants in the STEM Robotics educational programme are staying in Kalyves as part of an activity supported by the Bucim Mine.
The stay has been organized as an extension of the program’s regular activities and gives the children an opportunity to spend time in a new environment, take part in group activities, and develop skills such as independence, communication, and teamwork.
Supporting initiatives of this kind is part of Bucim’s cooperation with the local community and the company’s broader approach to education and youth development. Particular attention is given to activities that encourage children and young people to develop an interest in science, technology, and engineering, while also creating opportunities for practical learning and personal experience beyond formal education.
“For us, it is important that support for young people has clear educational and developmental value. STEM programmes give children the opportunity to develop curiosity, logical thinking, and an interest in technology from an early age. Activities like these also help them become more independent, work as part of a team, and gain experiences that are important for their further development,” said Kristina Krsteva, Director of Sustainable Development at Bucim.
Bucim continuously cooperates with educational institutions and local organisations through programmes and initiatives aimed at pupils and students. The goal is to ensure that this support is linked to concrete opportunities for learning, gaining practical experience, and developing knowledge and skills relevant to the future.
