BUCIM DOES NOT WAIT FOR SKILLED WORKERS — IT DEVELOPS THEM

While more and more companies are talking about the shortage of skilled workforce, Bucim continues to invest in the young generations who will shape the industry of tomorrow.

As part of Bucim’s ongoing support for dual education, 38 students from the “Kosta Susinov” Secondary School in Radovish, enrolled in the company’s dual education program, participated in a professional visit to the SASA mine in order to gain broader insight into modern mining practices, technological processes, and industrial operations.

The visit provided the students with an opportunity to become directly familiar with modern machinery, safety standards, technological systems, and operational workflows, while also allowing them to observe different approaches and practices applied in today’s mining industry.

For the students, this was not just a field visit — it was a real industry experience that helped them better understand the profession they are preparing for and the opportunities offered by the sector.

This is precisely the essence of dual education — enabling young people to learn in a real working environment during their education, acquire practical skills, and establish direct connections with industry.

As part of the dual education program, Bucim has trained around 20 mentors from various sectors — company employees who, alongside their regular responsibilities, dedicate part of their working time to practical education, mentorship, and the professional development of students.

The results of this approach are already visible — four students from the dual education program have already been employed by the company, representing a concrete example of successful cooperation between education and industry.

Through practical training, mentorship support, field visits, and direct contact with industry, Bucim creates opportunities for young people to build their knowledge, experience, and professional future from an early stage.

At the same time, Bucim expresses its appreciation to the SASA mine for its hospitality, openness, and support in organizing the visit, as well as for its contribution to the practical education and professional development of young generations.

Because the future of industry does not begin with machines — but with the people who will know how to operate them.
