At a time when the world is increasingly focused on automation, artificial intelligence, and the professions of the future, a new generation of young people is already emerging in Radovish – learning to create, code, and think like the engineers of tomorrow.
What began as a STEM education initiative has evolved into one of the most inspiring local stories of investing in knowledge, talent, and future opportunities.
Through the program implemented by Bucim, children of employees, together with talented students from the Municipality of Radovish, are given access to modern STEM education focused on practical learning, robotics, automation, and engineering concepts.
Through a 50% co-financing model, participants work with LEGO Education platforms, develop robotic models, and learn through real engineering challenges, logical thinking, and teamwork.
The program was launched during the 2024/2025 school year and continuously engages between 23 and 26 participants each month. In addition to employees’ children, the company also included scholarship students from Radovish who demonstrated exceptional interest and potential in STEM education.
The results of the program are already being recognized beyond the local community. At the FIRST LEGO League Explore 2026 competition in Skopje, the team “Brick Raiders” was named the overall winner of the competition, while the remaining teams received awards for creativity, presentation, and engineering approach.
As part of the program, participants also had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into modern industrial processes, machinery, and technological systems used in mining operations, helping them better understand how technology is becoming an integral part of modern industry.
As additional support for the most successful participants, Bucim will co-finance the participation of 13 children from the winning teams in an international summer STEM camp in Metamorfosis, Greece, where they will work on robotics, algorithms, and practical engineering projects within an international and innovative environment.
For the company, this initiative represents an investment in future generations, technical education, and the skills that will shape the industry of tomorrow.
From LEGO models to becoming overall champions — the story of these young people shows that the future engineers, innovators, and creators are already growing here, in Radovish.
