5,000 SEEDLINGS PLANTED ON GOTEN: Bucim AND PE NATIONAL FORESTS RESTORE FIRE-AFFECTED AREAS

As part of long-term efforts to restore the forest fund, Bucim and PE National Forests carried out a reforestation activity on Goten Mountain on April 25, planting 5,000 seedlings.

On Goten Mountain, above the village of Jargulica, a significant environmental action was implemented, during which DPTU Bucim DOOEL Radovish and PE National Forests jointly reforested more than 2 hectares of fire-affected land.

A total of 5,000 native seedlings were planted, including black pine, cypress, ash, maple, albizia and acacia, laying the foundation for the gradual restoration of the forest ecosystem in this area.

The activity brought together employees from Bucim and PE National Forests, as well as local residents from the village of Jargulica, sending a strong message of shared responsibility and active care for the environment.

Special attention was given to the selection of nectar-producing species, which, in addition to supporting forest recovery, also provide benefits for local beekeepers and biodiversity in the region.

The activity was carried out with professional support from PE National Forests, which provided the planting material and guided the implementation in accordance with established forestry practices, while Bucim ensured logistical support and active participation of its employees.

The Director of PE National Forests, Zdravko Trajanov, emphasized that the restoration of fire-affected areas is a long-term process requiring professional planning and coordinated implementation, highlighting that such partnerships represent a model of good practice.

The Deputy General Director of Bucim, Ivica Karapetrov, noted that through such initiatives the company provides a tangible contribution to environmental protection and remains committed to activities with long-term impact.

This initiative lays the foundation for the long-term restoration of fire-affected areas in the Radovish region, with a clear objective – restoring natural balance through concrete and continuous actions on the ground.
