WITH A €40,000 DONATION TO THE RADOVISH HEALTH CENTER, BUCIM MARKED THE DAY OF MACEDONIAN MINERSAugust 29, 2025 – EDIT

Radovish, August 29, 2025 – With a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, colleagues, and representatives of the local community, the Bucim and Borov Dol mines marked the Day of Macedonian Miners – August 28, a holiday symbolizing the labor, dedication, and perseverance of miners.

In his address, the Deputy General Director of Bucim and Borov Dol, Mr. Ivica Karapetrov, emphasized:
“With the upcoming merger of Borov Dol into Bucim, we are opening a new chapter in Macedonian mining. We are building a stable and sustainable company that is not solely focused on production, but also on people – our employees and the community. We are committed to creating an environment where every employee can work safely, develop professionally, and contribute to lasting value for future generations.”

In honor of the holiday, Bucim will donate equipment worth €40,000 to the Radovish Health Center for the complete digitalization of the X-ray machine. This donation will enable faster and more efficient healthcare services, reaffirming the company’s commitment to improving the quality of life in the local community.

All employees of the company once again received financial awards this year for their contribution to success, while 24 of the most outstanding employees were honored with additional bonuses in recognition of their exceptional results, hard work, and dedication. These awards and recognitions are part of Bucim’s strategy to value human capital as the most important resource in mining.

Each year on August 28, Radovish and Bucim commemorate the historic Miners’ Strike in Lojane in 1929 – an act that left a deep mark in the struggle for dignity and workers’ rights, serving as an eternal reminder that mining is part of the identity and cultural heritage of the Macedonian people.

Yesterday’s celebration concluded with a concert by the bands Nokaut and Divlje Jagode in the center of Radovish, giving the holiday a cultural dimension and uniting the community in the spirit of respect and gratitude towards the miners.
