On the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day, DPTU “Bucim” DOOEL Radovish extends its sincere congratulations and appreciation to all women whose expertise, dedication, and professionalism contribute every day to the development and successful operation of the company.
Currently, 69 women are employed at Bucim out of a total of 654 employees, representing approximately 10.6% of the total workforce. In the period between last year’s and this year’s International Women’s Day, six new women have joined the company, which represents an encouraging indicator of the gradual increase in women’s participation in the mining sector – an industry that traditionally has lower female representation.
Women at Bucim are not only present in administrative roles but are also actively involved in key technical and operational processes at the mine. They are part of teams working as mechanical and chemical engineers, geologists, operators, technicians, laboratory specialists, as well as department managers, contributing their knowledge and professionalism across various segments of the company’s operations.
Their role is also significant within the company’s management structures. Out of 59 managerial positions, 11 are held by women (21.15%), while 41 positions are held by men (78.85%). Within the top management, one woman is part of the four-member management team, representing 25% participation.
This structure reflects the gradual progress in the inclusion of women in leadership and decision-making processes. Bucim continuously promotes equal opportunities for professional development, career advancement, and participation in managerial roles, regardless of gender. Supporting gender equality and encouraging women to build careers in industries such as mining is an important part of the company’s corporate culture.
To mark the occasion and express appreciation for their contribution, Bucim organized a symbolic celebration of International Women’s Day. Some of the female employees had the opportunity to participate in an organized trip to Istanbul, providing a chance to celebrate the occasion together in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
For those who were not able to join the trip, the company arranged a symbolic gift for each woman, as a sign of appreciation for their daily commitment, dedication, and professional engagement.
Through this gesture, Bucim once again emphasized its respect for the role and contribution of women within the company, whose knowledge, responsibility, and professionalism are an important part of the company’s growth and success.
