TRADE UNION DELEGATION FROM BOR MINE, SERBIA VISITS BUCIM

Representatives of the trade union organization from the Bor mine, Zijin Bor Copper, Republic of Serbia, paid a working visit to DPTU Bucim DOOEL Radovish, aimed at exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation between the two sides.

As part of the visit, meetings and on-site activities provided insight into work organization, the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) measures, and trade union practices.

The program included a working meeting with a presentation of Bucim’s operations, followed by a site tour of the operational facilities. The delegation was introduced to the technical processes, equipment, working conditions, and the application of OHS measures.

During the discussions, topics related to workers’ rights and obligations, occupational health and safety, and current challenges in the mining sector were addressed, with a focus on practical approaches and solutions.

This type of cooperation contributes to knowledge exchange and the advancement of good practices in the mining industry, with a focus on improving safety, work organization, and overall working conditions.

The visit forms part of the established cooperation among trade union organizations in the mining sector, including the Bucim trade union organization within SIER, aimed at exchanging experiences and enhancing practices.

This cooperation opens opportunities for further knowledge exchange, strengthening partnerships, and continuous improvement of working standards.
